• Identity and verification details submitted for account verification and role approval.
• Vehicle information: make, model, year, description, location, photos, and VIN, when you list a vehicle or use the VIN checker.
• Service request details: fault descriptions, service plan selections, complaints, and swap or quotation requests.
• Payment-related details necessary to process transactions, as described in Section 3.
• Communications you send us, including support messages and complaint submissions.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.
• Session information used to keep you logged in and to secure your account.
• Approximate location, where you enable it, to show relevant listings and service providers near you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account, and authenticate you when you log in.
• Operate the marketplace: publish listings, connect Owners with Vendors, Technicians, and Agents, and facilitate swaps, sales, and inspections.
• Process service plan subscriptions, fault claims, and Loan Facility applications, including any required credit assessment described in our Terms and Conditions.
• Process payments and send related notifications, receipts, and confirmations.
• Send account, transactional, and service-related communications, including OTP verification codes and status updates.
• Respond to support requests and resolve complaints.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or activity that violates our Terms.
• Improve and maintain the security, reliability, and performance of our website and dashboards.

3. Payment and Financial Information

Payments on EazyCar are processed through Paystack, a licensed third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Paystack handles card data directly in accordance with its own security standards and privacy policy.

For Loan Facility applicants, we collect information necessary to assess and process the loan, including income source and repayment details, as described in our Terms and Conditions. Where applicable, this information may be shared with credit bureaus and relevant regulatory bodies as part of the assessment and recovery process.

4. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where necessary to operate the platform:

• With other users: Vendors, Technicians, and Agents may see relevant listing, contact, or request details needed to complete a transaction or service.
• With service providers: certified partner workshops and mobile mechanics assigned to your service request.
• With payment processors: Paystack, to process payments and subscriptions.
• With communication providers: our email delivery provider, to send OTP codes and account notifications.
• For legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EazyCar, our users, or the public, including reporting of Loan Facility defaults as described in our Terms and Conditions.
• In a business transfer: if EazyCar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how our website is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect your ability to stay logged in or use certain features.

6. Data Storage and Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes secured password storage, session protections, and access controls on our dashboards. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take steps to delete or anonymize it.
